Hello, everyone and welcome to my podcast. My name is Lynette. And today we're gonna be talking about when the spiritual side meets the carnal side or our physical side. I have heard the difference between praying and meditation is praying when you're talking to God. And we all know when we have something we want to ask of him. That's when we particularly talk to him. And meditation is when you're sitting quietly and God is talking to you. I realize that not everybody realizes that it is the God's source, but it is information coming into that still quiet mind finding the balance between the two would be being able to be in this world, but not necessarily of this world. When I used to work for a major hotel, there was a man that frequently visited the hotel and he would come and talk to me, basically witnessed to me and he's the one that explained to me about being in this world, but not of this world. And I think part of that means being able to function carnally and do all the things that we want to do. And it's okay to still have pleasure and everything. I don't agree with those over the top issues of don't dance, don't this, don't they? I, I know, I think we're supposed to enjoy our life, but at the same time it's quiet in your mind to listen to information or guidance. I do believe that we need to stay in tune to the spiritual information that is given to us. I know I have shared with you quite a bit about my health concerns and I find myself, I listen to God and then I take control and I start with the supplements and the other types of healings that are considered spiritual healings. And one fine day, I was sitting very, still, very quiet and I was taking these, these red pills from South America that I had doubts if I should take them because they weren't FDA approved. Well, one day I started bleeding profusely and I went to the hospital and I thought it was probably because of those pills. Well, it was not. Then another day I happened to faint and I blame the pills again and I found out it wasn't the pills. But when I sat quietly, I felt that still small voice tell me to stop everything else and only take the red pills. And my corn of mine was like, oh my gosh, you gotta be kidding me. But I did. And it took about three days to a week. And I gotta tell you I really start feeling much, much better and actually moving much better. And then I don't know why things get thrown at us or we read about things or things are offered to us and I fall back into that merry go round of taking control and trying to take over again. And I was back on the bandwagon of taking all sorts of supplements. I even ordered a exercise machine because I realized while I'm waiting for my machines to be delivered, I don't have to exercise when I can do quite a bit actually on my own. But then I felt again to just trust God. So I took a step back, eliminated all these supplements. I'm still taking the red pills though and letting him be my guidance. Now, whether you call it him spirituality or whatever you call it, there is a spiritual source out there that's all knowing. Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy for our sciences and our doctors and all of that. But there is still someone out there or if you want to call it something out there that is all knowing that knows even more than our doctors that knows every cell in our body, from our heads to our toes. And so I think you need to learn how to sit quietly and have that spirituality come to you back to the man at the hotel. I used to work at, he also taught me that sometimes we're so heavenly good that we're no earthly good. That made a difference as well. So again, it's finding that balance too, be open to the spiritual world and to do so, you need to have a very quiet mind for me, that's been a real challenge. I don't know why. But that's been probably one of my biggest challenges. My mother once told me of a man that was very, very ill. But anyway, she had a dream and a curtain closed on his body and said, heal the mind and the body will follow. That really did make an impression on me because the mind is so powerful. And I know even now when I'm having mobility problems or if I'm feeling better, mobility wise, and I'm in the middle of a movement. If something scares me or somebody says something that bothers me that it immediately throws me off in my physical body. There is such a mind, body connection. I know that our world gets busy, our minds get busy and things are constantly thrown at us. But I do believe that it is important to be able to walk on this earth in the wisdom of the spirit. And what that boils down to is walking in faith. Now, when you're alone, sitting alone meditating, praying, it's easy to have faith. But when you're out there in the world and you have either fear or you have a need of something or you want something, it's not as easy. I believe I've been told. And I've read that Jesus Christ died on the cross, not only for our sins, but that we might be healed. And you have to walk in that all knowing. And you also have to know that if you're directed to a specific doctor or a specific supplement or medicine, whatever the case may be, if you put your trust in knowing that you have absolute spiritual guidance, life becomes so much easier. You can walk and still go after the things you have always wanted. And personally, I think these religions that don't want you to do certain things. I believe that God put us on this earth to be the best that we can be, to achieve our goals, to have goals, to be happy, to be kind to one another, which I wasn't gonna hit on this. But while I'm on the subject, I'm gonna say the 10 commandments. If you're not a Bible reader, just open your Bible and read the 10 commandments. Unfortunately, I'm not versed enough in the Bible to tell you where to find it. But I'm sure that you'll be able to, If each person on this earth would follow those simple 10 steps, It would solve every problem, every war, every issue, every dispute, the world would be so much better. So there's a reason these 10 commandments or worlds, if you will were made and designed for us. So it's all about going back to basics going back to the 10 commandments, having faith, no matter what you're going through. And because you do live here on this earth, you do have goals, you do have desires, you do have wants, you do have needs and that's all okay. But it doesn't have to be so hard. It doesn't have to be you trying to take control. You've got to trust God that he's going to have you at the right place at the right time and how nice it is to be able to relax in that because how basically anxiety producing it is to think that you need to control where you need to be, what you need to say, who you need to see how you're going to see that person and walking in faith and walking in spirituality, but still walking here on this earth and being in your carnal body following those tin simple commandments. Again, sometimes you need to step back, clear your head and take the time to pray and meditate and try to keep your chatty mind quiet and your focus on God as you walk towards your desires, towards your goals, enjoying your life, as simple as you want it, as simple as it may be. I don't believe that there is such a thing as simple versus successful. I think success, regardless of how you choose to live, your life is having peace of mind and having happiness. And with that being said, I wish you all much happiness and I will talk to you next time.
