What is Multi-Factor Authentication?
Multi-Factor Authentication (also known as 2-Step Verification or 2-Factor Authentication) allows you to add an extra layer of security to your Voices account beyond your password. The fact that a second factor of authentication is required significantly reduces the risk of compromise versus reliance on a username and password alone.
Who can enable Multi-Factor Authentication on their Voices account?
Multi-Factor Authentication on Voices is currently available only to our Enterprise-level subscribers as an optional feature in account settings, which can be enabled or disabled at any time.
How does Multi-Factor Authentication work?
Multi-Factor Authentication works by asking for something you know (your password) in combination with something you have (your mobile phone) to confirm your identity across a variety of account activities—such as accessing your accounts from new devices, verifying transactions, or recovering your accounts. The process is simple. Once you enable multi-factor authentication, your log-in flow on Voices will look like this:
2. Each time you log in, a "challenge" (a second factor) is needed to further verify that it is you.
3. A code (a random set of numbers) is then sent via an authenticator app (which you must download ahead of time) to the phone that you used when you created your account. At the same time, you are shown a secondary login screen in your Web browser with a prompt to enter the code produced in the authenticator app.
4. Simply enter the code that you received as prompted.
5. Voices will confirm that the code you entered is the same code that was sent to your phone and, if matched, you are verified.
6. You are now able to access your Voices account.
How do I enable Multi-Factor Authentication for my Voices account?

How do I disable Multi-Factor Authentication for my Voices account?
You can disable Multi-Factor authentication by heading to your Account Settings, found in the Me dropdown, then selecting General Settings from the sidebar menu, scrolling down to the section marked Multi-Factor Authentication, and clicking Disable Multi-Factor Authentication.
What happens if I lose my phone with the connected authenticator app?
If you lose access to the mobile device with the connected authenticator app, we encourage you to use your backup codes, which would have been provided to you upon initial set-up, or you can contact us for assistance at [email protected]. You'll also want to contact your phone provider to put a lock on your phone in order to protect your information.
