Hi everyone. Welcome back to the new mom podcast. My name is Treasure. And today's topic is a pretty good one. Today we will be discussing self love after having a baby. Let's dive right into this topic. Now, I wanted to talk about self love and my new mom podcast because I believe it's so important as a woman that we really take care of ourselves and I know that postpartum depression is a real thing and so his baby blues and I'm going to talk about that in a later episode of this podcast. But today we're going to talk about self love. Those topics do go hand in hand, but I just really want to focus on self love and how to practice self love, especially after having a baby. You kind of might feel lost because your body wasn't your own for nine months, 10 months, however long it was you were literally someone else and now you're yourself, but you're not. It's such a weird wait for me to explain it, but that's the best way that I can and if you had a baby, I think you can kind of relate to what I'm saying and it's important as a new mom for you to take care of yourself and it's important because you have a new life that relies on you and needs you and depends on you. So you have to get up, you have to get ready, you have to love yourself, you have to care about yourself all that you know, for your kids for you. I have some tips today that I'm going to share with you that can help you practice self love and just take better care of yourself. Number one that I have is I always wake up and take a shower or bath every single day no matter what, just do it for your health. Water is like reviving, it's refreshing, it's relieving and it's just good for the soul. So every day take a shower next lee hair, never do a button. If you're going through postpartum depression, try new hairstyles, try new things, wardrobe, get some new clothes. I'm not saying like go on a crazy stopping spree or I'm saying going to crazy shopping spree, just get some new clothes so that you can feel good about your body because it's back. It's going back to what it was before it was pregnant. It could even be getting better than it was before when you were pregnant. You know what I'm trying to say. So get some new clothes that will make you feel good about your body and some good laundry. Yeah, some good lingerie really helps big time out of your day. Take time out of your day to meditate. You know, just like practice meditating, do some stretching, go to the gym, you know, just stay busy and just have that. Like meantime now if you're single parent, I know that's probably hard to do, but when your kid is sleeping and you like have everything on your list done, give yourself some time, you know, like read a book, have some wine, eat some dessert that you love. You know, just treat yourself honestly. You just had a human being, you know, that's like the biggest accomplishment in the world, deserve to relax and you deserve self love. So just know that or like here's a simple thing, you can lit some candles lay in bed and just think about what you're grateful for and think about what you love about yourself and why you love that about yourself.
