Hey there guys, my name is Lisa and I'm a 30 year old stay at home mom and wife. I have a little girl named Lillian who is 20 months old and we are expecting baby girl. Number two in May. Honestly I'm terrified of the thought of having two kids but we'll see what happens. I'm also a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2009 when I was just a senior in high school. I absolutely love being a mom and I always knew I wanted to be one. In my opinion. There isn't a more rewarding job out there. I also however, I am not afraid to tell it like it is and admit that it's also the hardest job in the world and some days it just plain sucks in my free time. What's that? I like to hang out with friends either at home or out enjoy movies and tv although lately I've been watching nursery around youtube videos on repeat on a slightly heavier note, I have struggled with general anxiety disorder for most of my life and I also suffer from depression. Depression was new for me when I was diagnosed with postpartum depression after lily was born it hit me really hard and it took a long time to start to crawl back up to the surface. What seems to me it seems to help me the most is being open and honest with all these different feelings I'm having and to be open about them. What seems to help me the most is being open and honest with all these different feelings I'm having and just talk about them. All feelings are valid. No matter how guilty they make you feel. It took me a long time to understand that there were days where I felt really like the world's worst human for how I felt towards my own child. This is why I wanted to bring this podcast to life with these other two beautiful moms. I want moms everywhere to know that we're not alone and we can all share in this crazy thing called motherhood together.
